This night is perfect-
In that it’s just you and I.
In an embrace-
Much like the moon and sky.
I must interject-
Against arguments perceived thin.
With an effortless grace-
My fingertips brush your skin.
In your eyes-
A deep chasm of desire.
And in my heart and soul-
Fuel to quench our fire.
We gave up once before-
And were neither’s servant.
Though we’ve been apart-
We remain so fervent.
We both can see-
Truths beyond the tease.
The chemist says yes-
The shrink, however, disagrees.
Who would we be-
To succumb to such a thing?
Could we confess-
What about this could bring?
Lying here flat-
I know you feel as I.
Despite queries sans review-
I’d rather not ask why.
Abandon all of that-
This I cannot help but vow:
